Welcome to Stuff My Dad Makes — a place dedicated to the tinkering, creativity, and handiwork of one very busy retiree.

Retirement has given Dad something he never seems to have enough of: time. Time to build furniture, experiment with new ideas, perfect a batch of South African biltong (IYKYK), and generally keep himself occupied with whatever project has captured his attention this week.

Dad has always enjoyed making things with his hands, and this site is a small showcase of some of those creations. Take a look around, have a browse, and see what he’s been up to.
